What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a safer, easier, and faster way to complete transactions. It allows you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone^® 6, iPhone 6 Plus, (or later) or Apple Watch^TM by holding your device near a contactless reader at participating merchants. You can also use your phone, iPad Air^TM  and iPad mini^TM  to pay within certain apps.

How Does It Work?

Apple Pay pairs your device with your existing First City Credit Union credit or debit card to complete transactions without your wallet. It is more secure than using regular plastic cards because it never uses or stores your actual card numbers. Instead, it assigns a unique Device Account Number to your device and every transaction is completed with a dynamic security code. Your actual credit or debit card numbers are never shared by Apple with merchants or transmitted for payment.

How to add a payment method
(1) You can add your first payment method when you make a purchase or by tapping the ‘+’ on the top corner of the home screen and choosing a card or account.
(2) To add more payment methods, tap on your default payment method. You can also tap your profile, then select Payment methods.
(3) Then just follow the instructions. For your security, you may need to verify your account.

Samsung Pay

Introducing Samsung Pay
Samsung Pay simplifies your transactions and is accepted virtually anywhere you can swipe a card, as well as select mobile and Bixby merchants. For in-store purchases, swipe up from the home screen to launch your favorite card, verify your fingerprint, and then hover your device over the card reader to pay. It’s that easy. Note: Only compatible with select cards and Samsung devices.
